i dated a guy 4 yaers ago that I broke up with (bcuz he cheated) he let me with a x-mas ring that he had given me. That was 3 years ago and I still have the ring, but I don't want it. I haven't talked to him in two-three years. Is it ok to pawn it? If not what should I do with it?

The rules to broken engagements....you break it off you give him the ring back, he breaks it off or does something that breaks the "rules of engagement" you keep the ring. Yours for instance is the second...so that ring is all yours. I say pawn it, exchange it for something you want, whatever it is totally yours.

If he gave it to you has a give than you own it. If he cheated on you than you don't need to keep it has a reminder. He didn't ask for it back in those 4 years? Plus you have not talked with him in two. He mostlikely forgot that you have it. The ring is yours to pawn even if he did ask for it back. You don't owe him anything...

It is your ring so do what you want to do. You will not get much if you pawn it. Sell it to an individual. If you do not know any one that wants it then put it in the classifieds and get more for it.

Ask him if he wants it back, if he doesn't pawn it.
