By the Queen's Guards do you mean the foot guards or the mounted regiments of the household calvalry?
The foot guards consist of 5 regiments; the Grenadier Guards, the Coldstream Guards, the Scots Guards, the Welsh guards and finally the Irish Guards. If you join one of these you will not have to do any mounted courses. Exceptions being officers for cerimonial duties.
The two regiments that make up the Household calvalry, being the Blues and Royals and the Life Guards. If you join these then the answer will be a definative 'Yes'.

Do you mean the Household Cavalry? If so, yes without a doubt. Don't worry though, if you've never ridden or handled horses before they will teach you everything. Just be prepared to fall off a few times and you'll be fine!

Good luck mate!
If you wanted to enter the mounted regiment there is one thing you need to check first and that is your chest size. All candidates have to be able to fit into the armoured breast plates that they wear if they want to do ceremonial duties, so check before you build your hopes up.
