Will it still turn out? Should I grease the pot? Should I bake it at a different temperature? Naturally the casserole will be thicker if I use a pot-- will it still cook thoroughly? Thanks. (ps- I am making a tuna, mushroom soup and noodle casserole if that helps).

What type of pot is it~how big? If it is like a Dutch oven, I would use the same temperature~just cook for a little longer than you would in a casserole dish. Yes it should turn out just fine but I would grease or spray w/non-stick cooking spray. But I do that with casserole dishes too.
Should be delicious!

sure you can, yes i would use the spray non stick stuff. Be careful because it may cook faster since the metal will heat up quickly. I would cook it at a little lower temp so the bottom don't burn and it cook thoroughly. Maybe at 315 or 325.

Yes you can. Make sure it is a good quality heavy 1 with non plastic/ bakalite handles (metal handles are better) and a pyrex or metal lid. Cooking time will prob be shorter but not always.

You can use metal but be careful you don't burn your casserole. Metal will conduct heat faster than glass or stoneware. Definitely grease the pan or you will have a hard time cleaning it.

good chance of melting your handle off, otherwise i'd say ok like if you took the handles off first with a screwdriver.
