Its a Nerve disorder called Bell's palsy.
So it can happen.
Sometimes the muscles on the side of the face can freeze up due to draughts or damage to the nerves on the face.

That's what my mum always said.
I used to spend hours sitting in front of the mirror practising my most pleasant look to put on when the wind changed.

sure i have a cousin with crossed eyes and his mouth is permanently in a smile with his tongue out, had to fight the woman of him cause they like the tongue thing... great for licking stamps too
