I follow Jesus, not a Man.
Men will let you Down sometimes.
Sometimes, the ones that fall drag you down if you've been Following them.
Jesus will NEVER Drag you Down.
Never.

Anyone could be next, flesh is flesh and sin is sin no matter what religion you are, Judas was a follower of Christ, and so was Peter. Religion has nothing to do with sins or is it that you believe only Christian ministers commit these kinds of acts? About 2 or 3 years ago it was all Catholic Priest in the news, Islam isn't taking a back seat to sin either, so do I think my pastor could be next? May be he's a man right? This is why people should stop putting their faith in man instead of in God where it should be in the first place. I learn scriptures from the preacher, my purpose is to do the will of God, if I watch everyone else's walk I will stray off the path to.

well i strongly believe that we are in the last days...i know that ppl have been saying that forever, but i rly do...maybe not today or tomorrow, but i believe JESUS is coming back in the next years, which means that there are going to be more and more hardships and trials for everyone and even more for the preachers and pastors, bc they are carrying the weight of their congregations too, which has to be a burden thats extremely hard to carry...i think the only thing there is to do, is pray for all the pastors in the churches, that they wont be drug down with the weight of the last days, but if they are, then maybe they werent meant to be pastor over a big congregation of ppl...bc yeah things are getting harder, but GOD is looking for the congregations that will stand firm and strong in the last days...

I know if I was under a magnifying glass like the Media hold over all clergy, I wouldn't last very long either. I wouldn't want any of my past to come out unless it is during the judgment when I know that it will be fair and everyone there will be judged accordingly too.

Just a comment -- someone above makes a very good point. Why are people shocked that Churches have sinners in them?

Hay be carefull about putting titles onto sin, if it were not for the grace of God, that person in sin could as easy be YOU, hay the only person who is an example of how to live a life God approves of is The Second member of The Godhead Jesus Christ, He is the only example you should never look to someone who is a pastor or preacher and they are all humans, but Jesus Christ is Our only Way out of this grave we are walking in, we are all on a world where there is a total death rate, Jesus is your only way out so keep your exit clear, hay free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com God bless

While it is very sad to see this happen everywhere we look.

We need to remember 1 thing, Only Jesus Christ was perfect.

Humans simply can not be perfect. That is why we need Christ.

I also will question where ones heart is when big scandals like this arise. Maybe their heart wasn't fully on Christ.

God promised, If we keep our eyes and heart on him, He will keep us in perfect peace.

When we as Christians take things into our own control, we tend to fail.---Human Nature.

That is not an excuse for us to continue doing wrong acts, it is simply and explanation of how we fall.

On the flip side, I have seen countless leaders from all religions caught up in horrible scandals.

So is humans.

you know, long ago, i had a co worker who even though was good looking, was a terrible human being in each and every aspect.
he used to brag about the story about how he fooled the church when he enrolled in a catholic monastery just because life was great and for free there ; the facilities looked like a 5 star hotel, the food and clothing provided were awesome , they didn't have to clean up, there were no strict rules , they didn't have to wake up early, they had a great gym and excellent p.e, art and languages teachers, plus they were allowed to go out to the world every weekend to do whatever they'd feel like.
he took advantage of all this, and when the time to become a priest came, he just say "sorry, i changed my mind", and left.
but there were many like him, that wanted to have still more benefits for free , so stayed and became catholic priests......
without having a pinch of faith, respect or love for their god.
just lazy jerks that , like my co worker, found a gold pit in the
catholic church.

so i guess meanwhile the church is in in fear of not having enough priests and cares only for quantity and not quality, giving this men a great luxury life with the money of the believers....this terrible things will continue to happen.

I find it odd that antichristian comments are coming from people who refuse to think things through. No where does it say that christians are perfect or sinnless. if one had to be sinnless to be a christian then there would be no christians at all. If one were to show all the mistakes that the antichristian people do and show the world I wonder how they would react to there shamefull things they do when no one is watching. It goes to show that small people like to see others fall because it makes them feel better then others.
NIV
Jn 8:7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”

The real point is that christians see there sins and repent and turn from them. As christians we refuse to giveup and live with our sins we know that without the mercy of and forgiveness of Jesus we are nothing.

I just wish the antichristian people will see the truth before it is to late and one more suffers the second death from wich no one will return.

I do know God will expose all false Ministers, He will not leave anything unturned, You ask me about my pastor, No he won't be one like that. How do I know, Well I have known him for over 34 yrs. & to this day I have not seen him do anything that was not that of a True Christian. First you have to realize that before a Minister can speak, he first have to live the True Life he is trying to portray, & I have watched my pastor all these 34 yrs.

All of us are human including those called to serve. Each of us faces on a daily basis the same trials and temptations as you. Yes, some do fail and face public criticism. Any of us at any given moment could be caught in a weak moment. It is by the Grace of a loving Father that we may be forgiven and offered salvation.

Peace be with you,
+Michael

Was a pastor caught doing such a thing recently? You are sure about this? Can your evidence stand up in court?

Because someone (who has an axe to grind) makes a accusation, is no reason to accept it as gospel truth (pun intended).
