I studied and enjoyed Ninjutsu and found it useful as a police officer and bouncer in a large live music club.

But in modern competition it has been proven out that a mixed style offering both striking and advanced grappling is the way to go.

CQC (NOT KRAV MAGA!) that WWI british military was taught.

Why? because they cover pretty much everything from bare hand combat to how to use knife, gun, bayonet, and stick to how to counter weapons, and more.

Downside is they doesn't train as much or long. However if someone choose to train them for years then those person are extremely dangerous.

jiu-jitsu, takes the longest to master, and is very effective.
