I had at least 5 different near-death experiences in my 24 yrs of life and luckily survived from each of them. Whether it is the will of Heaven or pure luck, I can't say for sure.
From what I have seen or read in my life, I have seen so many people, many of them young who died from terminal illnesses, car accident, heart attacks, etc. And the sad thing is many of them were young, contributing, productive citizens.
My life has been marred with severe depression and lust problem but God is keeping me alive through all the ordeals. Yet, people who had so many good things going in their life and had bright future die unfortunately from the causes listed above.
What is the purpose of all these things happening the way it works? Good, contributing, difference-maker citizens should be rewarded by living a long life to do more good to society, right?

I don't think anyone can truly understand how or why God takes the people he does. Just be thankful for your life everyday and count your blessings.

It is up to God to decide these things....and also, it says that time and chance happen to us all...like the freak accident or something.

At any rate, God has spared you because He's not done with you yet! Maybe you are going to bloom for Him in a different way than you can even imagine right now....I will give you a for instance about myself:

I was abused terribly as a child and suffered terrible depression and had suicidal thoughts so much of my teen years that I did not know that it wasn't normal to feel like that. Only in my thirties, after some counseling, did I even find out that it was not normal...

I have had a very rocky road of recovery...had Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome...been emotionally disabled....I drank alcoholicly for more than 20 years.

I got sober 21 years ago...so have now been sober longer than I drank....and I have helped a great many women with my recovery from the abuse.

I will have a book published soon.....I now paint in oils...I am a grandmother to ten grandchildren and a great grand to two....if anyone would have told me I would have been capable of accompishing all of this years ago...I would have said "No, Not Me!"

But God had a purpose for my life greater than I could even know or imagine...and if you are still breathing, then He has a plan for you.

It is a shame that good people have to die....but God knows what He is doing with each one of us. We each have a divine purpose and we all have the right to be here.

Jer. 29: 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

"Good, contributing, difference-maker citizens should be rewarded by living a long life to do more good to society, right?"

Well it all depends. What do you mean by a "difference maker"? Do you mean that they are being used by God to turn sinners to Jesus and making a difference both for time and eternity or do you mean that they just go around doing deeds that most people would consider to be good but that have no eternal value?

In either case, when God's purpose for someone's life has been done then it's time for them to go. Here is a verse that might help you to understand why some people die before we would think that they should.

"The righteous man perishes, and no one lays it to heart; devout men are taken away, while no one understands. For the righteous man is taken away from calamity; he enters into peace; they rest in their beds who walk in their uprightness. Isaiah 57:1-2

You expect too much. I won't profess to know why you or I are still alive. The basic fact is that some people live and some people die. No rhyme or reason. Que sera, sera! What ever will be, will be. I heard someone say once that we would all be happier if we learned not to expect things to happen. We have to make our own happiness. Find your own laughing place. And if you die tomorrow, well how are you to know that?

it doesnt matter how good u are in this life bc works arent getting you anywhere... theres a good chance that all those ppl u speak of did something to defile GOD or didnt do something he asked them to do, or either it was just their time to go on... i believe that there are reasons for everything, but a lot of times, we dont know the reasons why, but u better thank GOD everyday that he has saved your life so many times... i think that you have an awesome testimony of how GOD's blessed u with life over and over again...maybe he has a plan for you and has a role that he wants you to play in these last days, i dont believe that you would be here today if he didnt...always give him credit for the things he's brought you from...always...

Depending on what faith you belong, each has their own beautiful explanations on the purpose of life. I have my own understanding that based each actions of the past(karma) and the resultant(reincarnation). If you accept my understanding, you may have been one of those people who have put his life for others in the past lives and it comes around that you also receive the same gift from others( doctors, God for believers, good Samaritan, etc). That's the good part of your karma. Just remember the golden rule: Do to others what you want others do unto you.

Your focus needs to be not what God wants from those other's but what He wants from you. He is wanting your undivided attantion, and will lay you flat on you backside and force you to look upoards towards Him. Ask God what it is He is wanting from you, and He will reveal that answer in His time.

Mean while study your bible and God will lead you to the scriptures that may have the answer you are searcing for. The bible has all the answers to all questions in our life.

My son who is only 24 has had as many near death experiences, but luck plays no part in any of them. It is God and God alone who wants my son to call upon His name. Luck belongs to Lucifer. Faith and the promise of salvation through eternal life with God, belongs to those who are willing to call upon the name of the Lord and invite him into their lives.

Maybe, if you are or will become a believer in God, there is something down the road for you to do, and equipping you for it hurts a little. Others have issues and lives we don't see or know about. They may have done things right and their time was over?? We do not know.

there is an agenda for each one who comes to this plane of existence we must fulfill before we move on to the next plane. there is a destiny which you need to fulfill before your journey through this veil of tears is over. right now you are gathering wisdom and knowledge from these events and you will teach them to others so that these may benefit mankind leaving this plane of existence a little bit better than when you came here. good luck in finding your path.
