I have those ugly "liberaty" style dood nobs, gold color. I want them to look like bronze, or a more modern color. How can I do that? I will rent this house and do not want to spent too much. Thanks

You should first ask the landlords if you can change it. Most times, if you alter something, you must change it back when you leave...if you want to avoid troubles, ask the landlord first. And anyway, painting knobs wont make much of a differance if you dont change the color of the cabinit doors too...its such a small detail, overall, does it really matter?

Painting may be the cheapest route, but you can find very inexpensive door knobs. If you have a Wal Mart near you, I would check there. If you have a lot of door knobs and still do not want to spend the $$ go for the Rustoleum, and RUN!

If you paint a door knob its very likely to chip and attract dirt after a short time. Rustoleum makes good paint for painting metals but i'm not sure they have the color you looking for. be sure to put on a good primer.

Get a can of Tremclad or Rustoleum spray paint.
