Alcohol used in some Little Debbie products, investigation ongoing

(September 23, 2001) eat-halal.com has discovered that alcohol is used in the flavourings contained in some Little Debbie products. McKee Foods, the manufacturer of Little Debbie products, has confirmed that flavourings containing alcohol are used in Zebra Cakes, Swiss Cake Rolls, and Oatmeal Creme Pies. These products should be avoided by Muslims. The investigation into other Little Debbie products is currently ongoing. McKee Foods can be reached at (800) 522-4499. I think most of those snacks have pork oils in them, my friend could not eat pork for religious reasons and she couldn't eat twinkies or anything.
