how many points can we give to the best are in some cases the exact answer? do riddles are things like that? i saw somewhere where someone said i will give 10 points to the first right answer. can we do that here?

For all questions, whether it be a riddle or someone asking whether they should sell their car its the same. After an asker ask their question and its been at least 2 hours (or up to 4 days) they can go back to the question and choose the best answer. All of the answer posters will have a "choose as best answer" button next to it. You simply press the button of what you think is the best answer and leave a comment. That person will then get 10 points (its always 10 points) You can only choose one best answer, If someone does not choose the best answer with in 4 days of when they first asked the question, it will go into voting where everyone can vote on who's answer they think should get "best answer" and the 10 points!
Choosing a best answer is allowed and encouraged. It is a good motivator for people to write good answers, because they want the 10 points!

What happens is that you ask a question. Of course, you'll periodically check the question page to see if there are any answers. If you see one that you think is the best, you choose that as the best answer. The Yahoo! Answers team automatically give the answerer 10 points. If you don't choose the best answer within a certain amount of time, then readers can vote on the best answer. If no one answers your question, you get the 5 points back that you lost because you asked a question. Also, all answerers automatically get 2 points just for answering a question. The 10 best answer points are extra. 10 points is neither the largest or smallest amount of points a best answer is worth. It is the only amount of points that a best answer gets.

yes you can, just go back to your question, scroll down to the answers then choose the one you want to give the best answer to. Plus you get 3 points back for choosing best answer

YOu sure can do that here.......you can choose any answer you want as the best answer...that's why they say that they will give 10 points to the first right answer......so whoever answers it right first the asker will reward them by picking them........got it?!
