I'm looking for a place to go out of the country probably during spring break (but I dont want to be doing spring breaky, sclerosis of the liver inducing stuff, I want to go experience a culture or something). There are so many cool places in the world I would like to visit. Tell me some cool places you'd like to visit and give me ideas.

It depends on what you're specifaclly instersted in: history, tourism, music, food?
Some very nice vacation places though are:
Spain: There's lots of beauties to discover around Madrid, Barcelona,etc. It's kind of hot though. Most people are nice and friendly
Greece: I've been there. There are ups and downs, most of them are ups though. Nice people, nice places. Lots! of cultural things to discover. history, music, etc. Best places: Athens, Santorini, Corfu. Very rich night life (discos, partying, pubs and things like that)
Italy: Been there too. It's very nice, and you should go to Italy at LEAST once in your lifetime. You could spend an entire Rome looking through the tons of historical things that are in Rome, also go to Milan, very nice place, for shopping too.
Egypt: Magical place. You HAVE to visit the Pyramids, I promise you will be amazed. Also they have very very nice hotels with pools and all services.
Finland: Clost to the end of May (which I'm not sure is Spring break but still) there is going to be a great event organized in Helsinki. It's the Eurovision Song Contest which is this song contest for most European countries. The songs are that good, but the even is live, and you would still get a very nice exprerience the people are nice, and the organization for this even is enormous trust me!
Some other nice places are : Paris, London, Stockholm, Turkey (Turkey is the most frequented country by Europeans over the summer), Moscow, etc.

have been to a couple of places n i like all of them just being able to relax n get off from work n out of the country simply makes one v happy:)
u may wanna try Jap especially Hokkaido, i personally tin dat so long u master the complicating subway u wont have any difficulty travelling there..which is wat we did..u can go there during summertime when the lavender blooms...it's a heavenly place to be in, wif all the nice flowers..then there's oso a famous Chocolate Factory which brings back sweet childhood memories..n not forgetting Otaru a little town where u can find the Musical Box Museum n Kaleidoscope...just too many to name..try it..u wont regret!!

My dream vacation is to go to Europe and study the rich history that is there; visiting castles, Stonehenge (the only 'tourist trap' place I would hit), libraries and out-of-the-way museums.
I'm getting goosebumps thinking about it!
