Depends. Sometimes, we need to take a break and enjoy being with our friends doing something we enjoy. If you enjoy going to the mall and window shopping for an hour or so or buying yourself a little something or buying something for a friend, there's no harm in that. Difficulties arise when there is an addiction to it. Everything in moderation, my friend.

You have to shop for supplies you need; food, clothing, place to live. You can also just shop when you don't "have" to. But, this can also be a form of therapy if it make you happy. Personally, I like to shop. Generally, it puts me in a good mood.

are you shopping for things you don't need? shopping for gifts to make other people happy? or shopping for groceries? are you obviously spending way too much time with friends and way too much money? or do you just go out shopping occasionally for a good time? it's all relative.
