yes i have, three years ago and I am so glad i did it. I was REALLy short sighted, and after waiting about 12 years to see what was happening with the technology I finally went for it!

It was such a strange experience as well - not pleasant I have to say but so worth it.

I haven't had it done, but my sister has. She was really short sighted and has never looked back(arf!!)since. There are lots of providers around at the moment, so shop about and don't be taken in by the 1st place you go to.Unless it's where I work.Remember, everyone has the best laser, the best staff, the best results. Visit this website:
http://www.lasik-eyes.co.uk
It's an independent forum for people who've had it done and has practically every provider in the UK listed.
It is very safe and don't believe all the horror stories that you may hear. It's true that people with very high prescriptions can "regress" a little, but the majority of providers include retreatments in the initial price, and it isn't unusual.Thorough eye examinations are also done pre-op, to ensure that your eye is able to have the treatment and your prescription has to be stable or with very little change. Your own health also comes into account, as there are health problems that can prevent treatment.
I'm gonna be cheeky and also put these two sites down
http://www.opticalexpress.com
http://www.visx.com
Good luck.

I have, but I doubt it's the sort of laser treatment that you're referring to. Mine is due to diabetic retinopathy where blood vessels 'push' through the retina at the back of the eye, causing lots of tiny 'blind spots'. I presume you're talking of laser treatment for short sightedness (myopia). If this is the case, my brother-in-law has had both eyes done. Initially, he was extremely happy with the good results achieved. Since then, however, he's worried that his sight is returning to how it was before the treatment. I'm sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear.

Yes, and I am so glad I did. It has been several years (4 or 5). I hated glasses and I had nothing but trouble with my contacts. Now, the doc did warn me if I worked on computers all day it wasn't such a good idea. Also, he said I will eventually need reading glass. But for now I am very happy. Everybody is different so what works for me may not work for you. Go for a consult and if they can do it or not they will let you know. I wish you all the best with your sight.

I had mine done on 2/4/2002...and it was GREAT!!! and really worth every penny !..SO if you are thinking of doing this i suggest you see a reliable doctor who had multiple /several laser eye surgery done. to determine how skillful and experienced they are on this procedure..and see if you are a good candidate to have one. I went to this one because theres 3 people before i had mine done where i worked they had it with this doctor so i know he was good...and i had mine done 4 years ago , now ,its better and lprice is not that expensive anymore...go and ask around where you work..they can probably suggest the doctor who did theirs...good luck!
