I had laser eye treatment 3 years ago, for short-sightedness and I would recommend it to anyone. I no longer need glasses/lenses, I can wear normal sunglasses and I can fall asleep anywhere without worrying about seeing afterwards. It hurt for about 1 hour. I could see perfectly well once the anaesthetic wore off, and I have had no problems since. The best £2,500.00 I ever spent. I got mine done with Boots, but they don't do it anymore, they referred all their patients to ultralse I believe. Obviously it won't cost anywhere near as much now - I think the exact proceedure has been superceeded now, but last time I saw prices for it is was about £300 per eye. You can get both done together and drive again within 48 hours.
Go with it, you'll never regret it.

I haven't personally had it down but my boyfriends mum had it done at the age of 77 and the only discomfort she mentioned was the fact that her eyes felt as if they had sand in them.
She perfectly fine now and says it was one of the best things she has ever done.
