It's all up to interpretation. The sin of Onan is not masturbation like most people think, but Jesus' preaching on sin starting in the heart add confusion to the mix. As a non-Christian I really can't go on anything other than an objective opinion and biblical reference. My advice would be do what you think is right.

I masturbate regularly because it is very healthy from a medical, and according to some a pschological standpoint. It also feels a heck of a lot better than a cold shower.

Of for God's sake - spank that monkey - flog the dog, take no prisoners, hit that snake - yank that skank - roll the log - in fact, get a vacuum and suck that bad boy dry - make it hurt - take the upper hand and show it who's the boss. Get your self an inflatable doll and give her every inch of your love.
But seriously, it's just a rule of the radical religious (pun intended) wackjob that made it a sin in the first place. But, come to think of it, what person in their right mind would ban such a glorious practice in the first place? Not a loving God that's for sure.

You feel guilty because you were manipulated into feeling so. Think of it like this. You are not doing any harm to anyone. They'll say you're hurting yourself, because you're belittling your body. But we know that's not true, right? You are having fun for a while, and that fun is not going to affect you in any conceivable way, as long as you don't get addicted to it. So, forget about sin, and guilt. They say that doing it once in a while is even good for your health. And you know that god is a hypothesis. Your health is a fact. And you need it to live.

If your Christian then you are sinning. Why believe in a God that makes everything that comes natural to you a sin?Is it not better to have a god that excepts man in his natural state and as he truly lives. You should not feel guilty for being horney but the church wants you to feel guilty thats why they made it the original sin

If you are Christian, then yes it is a sin, with the whole "spilling your seed on the ground" thing. But also, as a Christian, you would also know that to God, we are all sinners while in the flesh....Personally I believe it is as natural as sex and trying to stop will make you crazy and ashamed. But just don't let it get outta hand...

If it is a sin, why does almost everyone do it? If you took the sin out of sex, we'd all be a lot better off. Look at Kinsey's father.

Since I think it probably involves fantasizing about ppl, which is lust, then yes it's sinful. Jesus said that if you lust after someone, then you've committed adultery, which got the death penalty. I'd advise you to control yourself and reject lustful thoughts, this may help you avoid it in the future.
