Hepatitis C is transmitted from blood to blood. It is not a sexually transmitted disease unless you are sticking each other with pins or some other non-traditional sexual practice. The risk factors are tattoos, piercings, blood transfusions prior to 1992, IV drug use (even if only once back in the 70's), kidney dialysis, blood exposure (paramedics, EMT's, nurses, doctors, military), Vietnam era vets (pnuematic vaccinations, battle exposure), sharing razors or toothbrushes with an infected person, snorting drugs (sharing straw or dollar bill).
You won't catch it from hanging out, sleeping with your friends, eating off their spoon, or kissing them.
Educate yourself so you can be a support to them. Best wishes.

Do you mean hep c, as in hepatitis c? I know there are different types but i'm pretty sure you catch it from sharing infected needles. Yep just looked it up, infected needles or coming into contact with infected blood. It says very rarely it can be passed on during sex. And also rarely that you can get it from dirty needles in tatoo parlours. So as long as you don't inject using their needles or touch their blood you are safe. (Can also be passed to unborn child during pregnancy)

If you mean HEP-C as in hepatitis C... DO NOT come in contact with their blood or any body fluids that contain large amounts thereof. DO NOT share needles if you do smack with them... On the lighter side of things though, HEP-C is not considered to be sexually transmitted... so if you feel so inclined you can f**k the s**t out of all of them care free... just don't touch any blood unless you want to suffer a fatal amount of liver damage.

ONCE AGAIN folks, HCV corpuscles are NOT transmittable! This is found in semen, saliva, tears or vaginal fluid. IT IS NOT TRANSMITTABLE!
HCV is ONLY....REPEAT....ONLY transferred via blood contamination...blood to blood only!
HCV through sexual intercourse is not a TRUE STD because blood to blood transmission has to occur!
