I've been taking trileptal for 7 years I recently had a seizure my Dr said it was caused by a low sodium level which is a side effect of trileptal he tried tapering me off the trileptal but my sodium level kept getting lower so he said I had to stop taking it all together I have been taking keppra and klonopin with the trileptal the Dr increased the keppra when he took me off the trileptal I feel totally awful and I'm wondering if it's withdrawal symptoms?

It is unlikely that your feeling awful is due to withdrawing from trileptal.

It is much more likely side effects from the keppra and klonopin.

Although, you might feel "awful" if you have really low sodium! Perhaps something else is causing your sodium to stay low, or it is taking awhile for your body sodium to come back to normal after taking the trileptal.

I would talk to your doctor about what specific symptoms you are having.

Hope this helps some...and that you feel better soon!
