My daughter is 14 and she has quit going to her dad's, not because I made her or there was something wrong but because her life was full with sports and friends and he lived in a different town and she was missing things here. He needs to call his daughter and see if this is the problem, call before mom gets home if need be, and if it is then work out something else, if it isn't then ask what is. Sorry but at 14 he can't make her come if she doesn't want to so before he goes to a lawyer he needs to talk to her and see what is wrong.

If she was ok about the girl coming before, and nothing has changed, then maybe it's his daughter's decision, she's at a very difficult age. Perhaps she feels a bit torn between families, or maybe all her friends are near her mums. Your husband needs to speak to his daughter and find out what the problem is. If she love him (and I'm sure she does) she'll come around

Well for a start off she can't do this if the husband has a Court Order stipulating visiting rights. Surely, he can still speak to her or have things got out of hand, in any case, if he wants his daughter to visit then he will have to go back to the Solicitor to get it sorted out. It shouldn't be left for the daughter to sort out, they should not get involved in parents split ups.

R U sure it's the Ex or is it perhaps the daughter herself. When kids get to be that age, suddenly a weekend with friends is more interesting than a weekend with dad.

Maybe the girl doesn't want to come. How did the prior visits go? Is the girl playing one against the other? Call and ask the girl. The girl is old enough to decide what she wants. Give her the space to grow a little.

At 14 she's old enough to pick up the phone and call him if she wants to & tell him what's going on. If she wants to contact him she will. If she doesn't have access to a phone and he has visitation rights he needs to talk to the court about it.

If he has visitation rights she can't do that. As long as you have paperwork stating that he gets visit, take her back to court and let the judge know what is going on. She will be the one that gets in trouble. Good luck to you and your family.
