I think they are basically asking for a way to describe a selection of food choices to young children or to people with learning difficulties to ensure they get something they like within the range available.

first of all, ask them what they like. if they are unable to communicate verbally, use flash cards, makaton etc. most meals can be prepared easily and within budget. i see the question is using a complicated way of asking a simple question! i have this in my course, v annoying. basically they want to you to discuss communication skills, budgeting skills and time management. hope this helps!

O.K., I'm confused. What is a service user? Can you add more information?

O.K., with more information- since you are referring to menus, perhaps some with nice, clear photos? Then, a brief explanation underneath.

For example: Breakfast- a photo with toast, eggs and sausage.
Simply- underneath the description- Toast, Eggs (your choice), and sausage (links or patties) then, the price - $3.50.

Does this help?
