a story run in a local paper years ago,a man dressed in nothing but a white dirty robe, preaching to passerbys,he was dirty, but was not asking for money,he was taken to jail for being a vagrant.during the booking process,no one was able to locate a birth certificate, even a social security number for this man.he had no id,or even a wallet on him at the time.i have not been able to locate this article anywhere, not even at the local library.so my question is why some people feel better going to organized churches, even pay money to worship,i mean do you honestly think that "god" would show up in a three piece suit?or roll up in a limo?real question here..i mean what if?
the story was run in a local paper in dallas, texas,im not saying anything but what if.

I think that if there's a God, and we get to one day see Him, we will feel foolish when we remember what we used to think He'd be like.

Stories like this have been going around forever. It's like a test to see if you are charitable. Like, a lady had gotten a note asking her to fix lunch for two friends, so she went to the market to buy groceries, on the way home from market she passed two homeless people they asked for money for food. She had none, she had just spent all hers on lunch-meat and bread for her lunch guests. She walked on, but she felt guilty, so she turned around and gave her groceries to the homeless people, they were so happy they would be able to eat for days with these groceries. When she arrived home worried about what to feed her guests, there was a note, " thank you for the lunch, Jesus." It isn't that we are expected to recognize Him, in these stories, we especially aren't.Christians are suppose to give to the people that have less than we do, that is what these stories are about. People that have been tested, and passed. When the day arrives that God comes YES we will know Him we will recognize Him.

It's because most people have created GOD in their image and since most people want to appear or be prosperous, they identify GOD with prosperity.

In the Bible, GOD nor Jesus appeared in the form of a wealthy man or woman, but as a vision like the burning bush, or someone naked or disheveled.

This appears to me to be a test of our faith, to see what we will do or how we will treat some one who appers less than desirable. I believe many of us would walk right by, some of us even in disgust. I'm no better than anyone and I pray I'm able to recognize the GOD in all human beings and to respect the SPIRIT.

The bible says that no man has seen God at any time and lived...Explanation: God is invisible. He is so powerful that he has created our sun and solar system. If he were to let you look at Him you would disintergrate. He has the angels do his bidding.

Now the angels have walked among us as men....Even God's son walked the earth. They ate and talked and walked as humans. But they were clean.

Also the Bible says about paying for spiritual food...you recieved free...give free. Talking about spiritual food ...the best way to come to an accurate knowledge of what God wills for us is a bible study.

Your absolutly right for all they know that could have been their messiah and they beat the crap out of him and jailed him.The idea of paying money to worship is ridiculous because that would mean that only the rich can hear the word of god.Their whole religon is a falshood and filled with hypocracy

sOME INdALLUS MIGHT RECOGNIZE hIM. iN CENTRAL tEXAS EVEN FEWER. mOST PLACES NOT MANY. OOPS
If Jesus was wearing a Mets baseball cap or a Greenbay Packers jersey, and was the same as your example then anywhere in Texas I would expect He would be crucified with few observers in a very quiet place while people who mistakenly think they are Christians watch, picnicing with their children near by.

The better question is would I know God if I saw him. It doesn't matter to our individual salvation what others do. Can we help people to recognize God? Personally I don't think God plays games, I think he introduces himself, his sheep follow him and hear his voice.

yes, just because majority of humans have no seen God under circumstance you would know God or messiah right away. I believe it would be associated with a undeniable sense.

I dont have to see with my eyes what i can see and feel with my heart when I picture God. I am not worthy to place my eyes upon God. HE is greater than I am, and has blessed me in ways i will never understand, but will always be greatful for. He is my strength to face each day in this sinful world. I praise Him for always being there for me no matter what. praise the Lord!!
