I started to watch a movie with my brother. It was a true story. It was halfway through. There were two men left from a mountain-climbing expedition, and they were on their way back down. They were brothers. One was injured. It was likely that, if the uninjured brother helped the other, they would both die. The injured one wanted his brother to leave him behind. The uninjured one said that, for once in his life, he wanted to do something unselfish, and he refused to leave his injured brother. He also said that he was tired of dealing with the scum of the earth. I said to MY brother, "He's either a lawyer or a criminal." It turned out that he was a lawyer. His turnabout with regard to his behaviour is called redemption, I believe. What's your opinion?

It was a true story. I can't remember the title, but if you care to find out for yourself, you can search (I'm sure that you can). Use words like 'mountain climbing', 'lawyer', etc. Now, assume for arguments sake that it is true. It was the lawyer's own interpretation that he was behaving unselfishly for a change. Find the movie, check the description, watch it, find out the truth...if you want to.

Sounds like a cheap dramatic movie device, how long before Lassie showed up.

No, redemption comes when we share love to others not of our own families. Redemption would come for him when he would offer his services for free to what he calls the scum.

no, representing his profession as a lawer, he would seek the easy way out. by offering sacrifice , whatever it may be, he was not acting out as he would in a lawer's profession.
