I have a small rash on my butt cheek, the size of a quarter. I am hoping its not ringworm, but i dont think it is, its round like a quarter, but is not like a ring. ive only had it for 2 days, it itched like a pimple on the first day, now applying cream. It is a pink red color, not too bright, and not raised with bumps. What can this be? How do you know if its something serious enough to go to doctor and how do you know if it is a ringworm or not?. It is also not a spreading rash. Thx, only serious answers.

You really should go to a dr asap,,this could turn in a staff infection very easily and believe me you do not want something like that so close to your privates. I had something that sounds very similar to what I had and it turned out to be staff. Does it feel warm or feverish in anyway??

It's hard to say, really some doctors don't know for sure, I've seen doctors stand across the room and try to make a diagnosis while they expect me to get in there, the war zone and get a sample. You might wait a day or two to see if it spreads, try hhydrocortozone creme 0.01% over the counter. Wash your hands good when you touch it. If it lasts or is more active go see your doctor before it spreads. You see the only real way to tell is to get a scraping and lab work, most doctors will only take a stab at it like this, some aren't that familiar with rashes unless you go to a dermatologist.

why do you think it is not a worm? I would go to the doctor. You could put some castor oil on the area. this will help to draw it out.
