A TAD!? When I have kids, I hope to God they want to play with My Little Ponies, because all the ***** fashion dolls are disgusting. I don't want my daughter looking or acting like Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.

I think the same way that you do. I have a daughter and she loves the Bratz dolls. I have forbidden her to play with them also, but she still gets to play with them at friends house's and she is allowed to watch it at her grandmother's house. I think that the dolls are giving the girls the wrong idea of what a girl needs to look like to be liked by other people. I think that the makers of the dolls could make them still look fashionable but less trashy. But if they insist on playing with them then i guess we as parents just need to sit down with our girls and talk to them about what is acceptable in the way that they dress and act. Barbie is still the most popular doll made and she doesn't look trashy at all. In fact the makers of Barbie give little girls the idea that they can be successful, pretty, and popular, all while being respectfully dressed and behaving like a lady.

Definitely too sleezy for young kids. I think the target market is 8 or 9 year olds (just guessing there). My daughters are 3 and they have no idea what Bratz are and I intend to keep it that way. No way are they getting those.

I totally agree with you. I want my daughter to grow up with respect for herself and acceptance for herself...I don't wan't her to idolize some snooty little tramp doll with too much makeup and not enough clothes. And the Bratz babies are HIDEOUS! Sure, I can understand dressing up and wanting to be like mommy, but these brat dolls take it waaaay too far.

Unfortunately, yeah, they're seen as acceptable and are friggin everywhere.
It's like Barbie's sleezy little cousin or something.
I totally agree with you, and all I can say is I'm SO thankful I have two boys every time I see these little overly-made up, belly-baring, pouty dolls little girls are expected to play with. All that worries me is that if we as a society are teaching little girls how to look like grown women when they're in elementary school, I'm not looking forward to teenage-boy hormones a little later. If girls dress like this and wear makeup like this in elementary school, WHAT are they gonna look like in high school??????????
I would caution you, make sure your husband and your stepdaughters' mother are in agreement with this. Otherwise, you could get your daughter, who (I assume) is about the same age, wondering why her "sisters" can watch them and play with them, and she can't.

u r so right. i am raising my little sister and she used to like bratz too. i used to buy them for her until i saw the show they had made. i began paying more attention to these dolls i was nonchalantly buying for her. they wear slutty clothes and more makeup than i do. and yes, the baby bratz wear makeup too! that's ridiculous. i stopped buying my sister bratz and got her involved with watching and playing with toys that are appropriate. those brat girlz are ridiculously sleazy and skanky. they are teaching today's little girls all the wrong lessons. it's horrific, really...

Good mom! I can't believe they have the nerve to put that stuff out. Hootchie Mamas in training is all I can say.
Pure junk.

Personally. I think they have attitudes that I wouldn't want my daughter (if I had one) to develop. From their clothes to their makeup, to the expressions of their faces. Yuck!
