Men of war have long known that warriors must often abandon those verities they defend. Peace, human kindness, love... for they hold no meaning to the enemy. And so, to win, do we become what we despise... and despise what we become

well first off: peace, kindness and love are not all the attributes of G-D. HE and SHE in TheOUR IMAGE, anger and intollerence of sin, are also attributes of the infinate attributes of G-D. but it is most unfortunate this is not usualy the reasons for war.

most wars are fought over our pretend true idolity against their pretend true, legal idolitry. and they are not fought over the basis of what is actualy true from G-D. and if you want to act as animals in animal idolity, then so shall you be treated and entreat others as animals, in disrespect of what is realy true according to G-D.

I've noticed by what we see in the news about the war in Iraq, that our own men have stooped down to the levels of barbarrians which we were sent to stop to begin with. I'd say yes to your question in a lot of cases. Althought not all of our military have lost their prespective and their humanity and hold onto their faith that God shall lead them to victory in Jesus name!!

in a manner of speaking i do believe so. in order to protect that which you value most, sometimes you must do what is abhorrent to you or even to what you protect. just because you value something doesn't mean another will. we value our freedoms and way of life, others see that as either a threat or as something wrong. mostly out of fear that if their people wanted to live like us than they might rebel and do so.
