i suck at history because i have to memorize and remember date, event and person
i don't care much for the subject but i'm failing that class because i bombed all the tests. (i have the worst memory ever)

do you guys have any good studying startegies or tips in how you remember stuff

Put the related info on an index card, and have an index card for each event.
Don't put too much info on a card, and study from about 10 cards at a time (less is fine, but don't overwhelm yourself wih more). Study several times, not just the day before the test. Commit to going throught the cards say 6 times a day, on the bus both ways, in the bathroom, during commercials, on line at the store, whenever you can find a few minutes - justkeep them with you all the time.

Event: War of the roses
Date: June 1906-May 1909
People: 1-Jack Jackson - General
2- Susie Que - First death
3- John Johnson - said 'this war sucks'

1. whenever your bored (which alot of people get easily) go online and study what you are doing in class. Like if you are doing the Northeast Region keep looking over maps until you know all the states names, the place, and how to spell them.

2. You can also go online and just make up website names you think there would be good information on like northeastregion.org ( I am using the same example) or maps.com if you keep doing that you should fing useful information.

3. If you already have the information and you just need to remember it ( say you have a book on that) just keep looking on the pages of that book to try to store it in your brain, no matter how boring it gets.

4. Scan the pages ( of your book ) and look atthe first word of each sentence. If it looks interesting read it if it doesnt try to guess what it will be about WITHOUT readong it.

Fun Games To Learn

1. Make a board that is a small square. Then draw squares on it all around the board. Write tasks in them like to read the first 2 paragraphs of an encyclopedia. ( Of course out what you are learning about) If you can not find it in there go online and find info. If there is not alot read the whole thing if there is read a good amount. Keep putting more tasks in the sqaure.

2. Find alot of info online. Read ALL of it. Once you think you got it down have a parent, a friend, or anybody make trivia cards about what you are learning about. Make about 10 for that pile. This pile of cards will be the cards labeled Trivia. Make another 10 cards. This pile will be the spell binders. Flip a coin. Heads = Trivia and Tails = Spellbinders. With the spell binders put on the cards things like How do you spell Northeast if you were studying the Northeast Region. But make sure when you start to play somebody else reads the card so you cant see the word. With the Trivia cards put things on the cards like true or false questions, or where something is. You yourself can read those cards.\
