First they have to believe you are in charge
Laughter is a big clue that they don't
You have to stick with it, never back down.
It won't be easy, but you can (need) do this!
You don't want to end up the only person that
likes your kids.

don't TRY to discipline. just DO it. i would assume that you never stick to your guns and your children don't respect you otherwise.

stop giving in. pick a punishment and insist on it no matter what.

don't be afraid of spankings now and then, but they shouldn't be your only means of punishment and they stop working after a certain age. try to make the punishments fit the crime so your kids are learning from their mistakes, not just being punished for them.

Spank them.

A red mark on the behind will go away in a few hours. No one is going to call social services on you for spanking your kids. Your kids need to learn that you're the one in charge. The bottom line is, they're your kids now, they're your responsibilities. They are not your friends, nor should you be theirs.Worry about them being your friends when they're older. They are not "older" right now. Now, you are the master of your home, not them. Act like it, and they won't like you for a few short years, but they'll love and respect you for it for the rest of their lives.

Spank them...Enough with the damn timeouts people. We were all spanked when we were younger and we turned out just fine. Parents need to stop being afraid of their kids and spank them. Its good for them, it shows them you are the boss and to listen to you. It sounds like your kids don't respect you. I would change that soon, or you wont have control over them and you never will then.

try taking something that they like very much put them in the corner or spank them. When you talk to them have stern voice and make them look at you straight in the eyes.
GOOD LUCK.

DON'T HIT THEM!! They will think it is a game. When they tell you that they want friends to come over one day, or they want to go to friends house, tell them no.

Tell them if their good, you will get them a gift every week at the end of the week, if their bad, tell them that they have to skip 1 or 2 weeks of getting a gift!

I think you should take their toys away or give them time out until they behave. If you play with them maybe they will obey you(just a thought).

you need to follow through on any threat...like when you say "no treats for you" then they get no treats....they will learn fast enough that you mean what you say and they will smarten up....you need to nip this in the bud because it will only get worse
