What do you want to do? If you like sports, you can golf, shoot skeet, climb rock walls, participate in all kinds of competitions, swim, jog, play shuffleboard, work out in the gym, etc. (If you're on a cruise to Alaska, don't plan on swimming!)

There are all kinds of classes at various times -- cooking, dancing, languages, information on the various ports of call. Most ships have a casino, nightly shows, a movie theater, karaoke/piano bar, a library, spas, games, and deck chairs if you just want to relax and work on your tan. It's up to you.

When you book your cruise, go on line and get some information on your ship. It will tell you what kind of activities are available on board that ship.

A word of warning: while cruise ships offer unlimited food, beverages will cost you. No just alcohol -- they charge for soft drinks, too (except at meals). It's very easy to run up charges while on board a ship! You'll also need cash to tip everyone (waiters, busboy, maitre'd, room steward, etc.) at the end of the trip.

The real question is what can't you do on a cruise ship? They have activities running all day like the hairiest chest contest, sexiest legs contest, BINGO, a lottery contest, theater shows/performances, karyoke, dancing, board games, ping pong, bowling, rock climbing, basketball, tennis, volleyball, free resteraunts, movies, libraries, bars, casinos, spas, exercise rooms, etc, etc, etc. They have almost everything imaginable. And depending on where you go, you can site see from the decks. If none of those sound like fun, you can explore the ship. Cruises are the best because the whole time you are on one, you are always entertained. But one of my favorite things to do is go out at dawn or dusk and sit in the front of the ship and just watch as we sail. It is so much fun on a cruise ship. In fact, the ships are usually more fun than the ports.

There are some activities that are pretty standard on most ships (trivia contests, laying by the pool, afternoon tea, watching the shows, watching movies on your in-cabin tv). Some ships have activities specific to that cruiseline (some RC ships, for example, have rock climbing walls, skating rink). Some have classes, either for free or fee. Princess has some ships with covered pools (retractable roofs) so that even in cooler climates such as Alaska, you can still go swimming.

You may want to look on some of the cruiseline websites and check out what they have to offer.

you can do just about anything on a cruise ship such as rock climbing, basketball, golf, gym, casino, fine dining if you wish, and much more, it also depends on what cruise ship you desire to go on. I personally recommend the Royal Caribbean Cruise line, my family and i was going for years we were never disappointed. I hope this give you a better idea.

They have activities all day. These can include dancing classes to group games, ice carvings, contests, group outings and get togethers. There are also a lot of things for someone to do on their own. On a cruise you are basically never bored, there is always something to do.

Just about anything! There are movie theaters, shows, casinos, shopping malls, ice skating ,tennis, basketball, rock climbing, surfing, night clubs, cigar bars, English pubs, cooking classes, spas, swimming, hot tubs, dancing, ice shows, karoke, hysterical "game shows," sun bathing, water games, high class dining, burger joints etc....... and all of that is still on the ship. There are also a ton of options on shore excursions.

Get a massage, work out, go swimming, read books in the library, drink. They'll have games for you to play so you can meet other passengers. And most of all, eating!

Games by the pool, shows at night, great food, Bingo, karaoke, reading, napping, there is always something to do. There is almost too much to do. You have to force yourself to relax if you are one of those people who like to keep busy.(Like me)
