these type of places are usually built on ley lines .. natural energy lines
most likely to draw the earths energy to be used in ceremonies
i find it amazing that people knew exactly where these ley lines were , before we had machines to do that for us

Many of those buildings have religious connotations, such as the pyramids in Mexico, or the ones in Egypt. So I am more inclined to believe the same about Stonehenge, an altar or temple of some sort. Not as sophisticated as the ones I mentioned but the principle is the same.

Hard to tell as there are no written records but the have found a few burials and it seems the stones in some are aligned to sun and star positions. One would assume it does have religious and astrological connotations.

Places of worship. Some of which lay on what is called ley lines. Which I find interesting, since we can't see these "ley lines" yet somehow many of those places are on them.

it's probably a lost worshipping place. like in a 10000 years in islamic mosque will probably be known for defense to the future people
