Ask him to go to a doctor, a nosebleed could mean several things and if it is serious, its better to catch whatever it is at an early stage so whatever it is, can be treated.
See your doctor if:
* The bleeding goes on for more than 15 minutes.
* The bleeding was caused by an injury.
* You get nosebleeds often.
Are nosebleeds serious?
Most aren't. Most nosebleeds occur in the front part of the nose and stop in a few minutes.
A few nosebleeds stem from large vessels in the back of the nose. These nosebleeds can be dangerous. They may occur after an injury. This type of nosebleed is more common in the elderly and is often due to high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, daily aspirin use or bleeding disorders. Usually, the older the patient, the more serious the nosebleed.
You'll need to get medical attention if a nosebleed goes on for more than 15 minutes or if it occurs after an injury, such as a punch in the face, especially if you think you may have a broken nose. A nosebleed after a fall or car wreck could be a sign of internal bleeding.
Frequent nosebleeds may mean you have a more serious problem. For example, nosebleeds and bruising can be early signs of leukemia. Nosebleeds can also be a sign of blood clotting disorders and nasal tumors (cancerous and non-cancerous).
Good luck!

Hi, nose bleeds can occur due to many circumstances. it is always best to check with a medical practitioner - it can just be a simple vein that hates to be played with, it can be caused by an injury, or yes it can be the result of something more serious.
have it checked by your family gp. If it comes to the worst he/she will refer you to somebody else.
Don't worry too much, but don't leave it on a shelf either.
Good luck

Does he do cocaine? Is he on comadin (a blood thinner)? I think it is something serious. I mean no one I know has bloody noses.

cocaine addiction, or weak capillaries in his nose. Ask a doctor, but it rarely is a serious problem.

Hello Nela *,
Yes, he should go to his doctor about that. It could be something serious, but you won't know unless he gets it checked out. Yeah, guys are slow to go to doctors, so just encourage him.
