I think a lot of people have totally misconstrued this question; it seems to me you want to know how to be able to smile for a long time without getting facial cramps.

Any time you're going to use a particular set of muscles exhaustively, you should condition them. Practice smiling until the wedding. Practice smiling naturally (yeah, great advice there). The more you're used to constantly dazzling people with your stellar wattage, the easier smiling for protracted periods of time will be.

An upside of this is psychologists have shown that the very act of smiling and acting happy tends to produce those emotions in people, so you may well wind up even happier than you are now (and I hope you are already a happy person!).

Aww, you acquired a few imply solutions up to now. I individually suppose that the bride must reduce you a few slack. You've been via plenty, and I'm certain you are doing the fine you'll to maintain all of it in combination. If I had been going to speak to her approximately it, I could as a rule simply be sincere and inform her that you are having a tough time because of noticeable explanations, and that you just particularly desire you would reside as much as her expectancies, however that situations have averted you from doing so. If she's a fair man or woman, she'll realise - I imply, its no longer such as you shouldn't have a well cause. Life occurs, and usually you simply cannot handle your self and different individuals whilst - and there is no disgrace in that! If she insists on having 2 maids of honor after that, then that implies that having her expectancies met particularly is extra major to her then the truth that you are no longer feeling like that detailed man or woman anymore. If that is the case, do exactly the fine you'll to make her day pleased and you can realize one day that she cares extra approximately herself you then. I've found out that weddings particularly exhibit peoples precise colours - it hurts, however its bigger to get all of them available in the market within the open. Do the fine you'll to be the fine man or woman you'll be with out doing extra then you'll manage for the period of this tricky time for your lifestyles, and allow the portions fall in which they are going to. Good success, and I particularly wish your buddy is expertise.

There isn't really a way to stop smiling. And why would you want to stop smiling in your friends wedding day? You should be happy for them. If for some reason your face is really in pain, just take Motrin or some other pain reliever.

Not really. What I did when my sister got married was stop smiling when she (or cameras) weren't around. The best way to ensure this will happen is have to use the restroom alot. Just go in and sit on the stool in a locked stall.

I can't think of anything to do if everything is all outside.

There is still a way to show that you're happy without having a huge smile plastered on your face. It's a slight, closed smile with your mouth but also with your eyes. I know that sounds weird, but you can tell someone is smiling just by looking at their eyes. Just be present, feel glowing, feel full of joy and everyone will know you're happy to be there!

A sour faced Maid of Honor...get a grip, it is not your day...you'll never be a bride with that attitude.

Show some class! Be a pillar of grace.

I think that if you are happy for the couple & you are enjoying the celebrations you will hardly even have to think about smiling.
yes it does get to be "'painful"' when you continually have to *force* the smiles
just relax & enjoy the day
