can anyone tell me if there is anything like this in uk. i find all the british crisp and dorito types are spicy and too small for a recipe i have from usa.

Go to the Frito Lay website....there is a "contact us" option; I'm sure they can tell you about their product availability in the UK. Tostitos, i.e. Frito Lay are owned by the PepsiCo....I'll bet they have overseas distribution in many locations. Still can't find the Tostitos, make your own or alter that recipe....get creative! OR, get a friend to mail you a bag!

i've never heard a negative word about the UK unless provoked. and i thought a feeling mutual respect and admiration existed. however, i must add that lately, i've seen/heard several not so nice things said about america which quite frankly shocked me....i mean that there were ill feelings on either side. i hope that what i've seen are isolated incidents. i suppose there may be a**holes on both sides of the ocean.

Don't know what tositos are, but if you mean like nachos, you can get plain ones from Tesco in their value range - they are lightly salted, very cheap and taste great.
