Yes thats close-I use 3/4 cup for 1/2 gallon of tea.
Its easier for me to make a gallon at a time. Get a gallon plastic pitcher w/lid & pouring spout at the dollar store to use.
Use your Mr Coffee making sure the tea is very hot & sweeten while hot-if it gets cold or cool, put on stove & bring to boil, remove, add sugar & cold water.
I am always told when going to a family/church dinner-please make lots of tea-we want yours.
For smooth tea (not so dark or bold) use 1 quart of your brewed hot tea needs to have a quart of cold water so add 1/2 to 3/4's cup of sugar (for 2quarts),stir well & add plain cold water to make it 2 quarts. Always use hot tea to sweeten, else it will not dissolve.
A wonderful way I put extra flavor to regular tea is add 1/4 cup of welch's grape juice to the tea after its been sweetened. And to me-no tea is great until you squeeze a slice of lemon & toss the piece of lemon in the glass.
When keeping tea in fridge overnight-put it back on stove & get hot - almost to boil & it'll take out the cloudy "day old" look & is as good.

Get the tea. The milkshakes are super extremely unhealthy!
