Well, the Thames valley is a pretty safe place to live, apart from places like Slough and Reading. But towns like Bracknell, Binfield, Warfield, Crowthorne are pretty good. On the south coast, Bournemouth is a nice place, but tends to be full of retirees.

In general, most places on the south coast are pretty nice, especially those on the same latitude as London.

But everybody has their own preference. The best way to find what you need is to look up the different places on the web, and find the references.

The Thames Valley and London are all outrageously expensive.

Newcastle, Edinburgh (why just England), York, Northampton, Sheffield. Lots of nice places.
