I already have a satellite dish in place.
There are loads of boxes for sale on ebay, but most don't come with a sky card. Some say they work without a viewing card...is this possible? Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a digi decoder (DVB) box bought in carrefour for 43 euros, there is a wide choice avaliable, gives me 20 channels, crystal clear pic although single strength is only 78% normally, no need for a card just plug normal aerial into the back and then link through other equipment as normal.

Even get one channel that broadcasts in English and Spanish you can chose which language to listen in, apparently a lot more channels will be doing this in the future
It was a great buy for us as in the canaries analogue signal is not always great and as we rent didn't want to spend cash on a satellite system.
