Hello
I have a 4yr old neutered bichon male that continually urine marks inside. We rescued him when he was 1 from people that didn't housetrain. I have read through all the tips, problem is, he is one of 4 dogs, so we hit the following problems 1: catching him in the act as he does this at night usually when I'm asleep 2: taking feces outside and showing him this - what if another dog did the poop? - do you see my problems here?? - I have a gaggle of little dogs in my house but I am almost certain who the "poop perp" is !! - should I put the others at the sitters for a few days maybe? to deal with the pee machine 1 on 1? anyone else have this problem ? - also just wanted to explain, the dogs are in and out of the house all day, plenty of opportunities to "go", they always have a last run outside prior to bed. I even altered their dinnertime to earlier so maybe they digested and "went" sooner, thus eliminating the night problems. Any ideas ??
Thanks - K

smack his as- with a news paper. then clean it with vinegar . the vinegar smell makes him think your marking as your turf.

Doing the poo inside is different from urine marking. If the dog is leaving you presents, then it is often attitude, he's trying to teach you not to ignore him, most likely. If it is urine then you have an instinctual habit that can be hard to break. I also have a house full of little dogs and my males, being intact, will mark whenever one of the girls is in season and well, whenever the heck they want. They know better, they go outside and mark the entire yard but they always seem to save a little for inside the house. Grrr, it's maddening. But, if your boy is doing that, then you can get a strap that goes around the belly and you put a little pad on the underside interior and put it on him. It will absorb any trickles and it velcros gently at the top. I have found it to be absolutely a godsend and I don't have to clean up every 2 minutes. And, the boys are happy because I'm not scolding them. Just don't get the stretchy gauze type at a regular petstore, get a good leather or soft cloth one at a dog clothing store or online. Well worth the money. If the poo is the biggest problem, then do the crating method. It has worked for all of my dogs. There is an occasional accident, but not everyday. They don't like to soil their beds, so have them in the crate for awhile, then take them out and carry them outside and put them down. When they go, praise the dog like crazy and you can even offer a treat every other time. He will want to please you, it may take some work but it is worth it. Good luck!

It isn't too overdue. I neutered a foster puppy at eight and he was once a transformed dog. It will take a little time for him to give up marking, however it'll occur. Thoroughly blank all of the areas he has marked.. It would possibly take a black mild and some thing like Nature's Miracle to discover all of the spots however so that they can aid plenty as good.

Have you tried putting him in a kennel, dogs try hard not to soil their den. Make sure he does not have any urinary issues, maybe he can't help it.
