Puppies sleep alot and sometimes have squishy poop. My instinct is to watch her and see if there are more symptoms, if the symptoms get worse, or if you just feel something is wrong. We can't examine your dog to give you any type of reliable diagnosis. If you are seriously concerned, call your vet. You can leave a message and ask him/her to call you back. If they think it's serious, they'll either make time to see her or will send you to an emergency vet.
Personally, my dog can get squishy poop just by looking at her funny. And with the weather getting colder, she is sleeping a lot more. But, I'm not saying that you should disregard what's going on. If you feel it's serious, call the vet and touch base with them.
Good luck and I hope it's nothing. : )

It's hard to know with a puppy, but I'd keep the movement, (just in case in the fridge) you may need to have it vet checked on Monday.
As long as your puppy is eating well and drinking, I would not be concerned. . . if not, call the after hours clinic and take him in immediately.
good luck ( Love Maltese)

Your puppy needs deworming most likely. Take the stool sample to your vet and they will set you up with some dewormer to give your puppy. Very easy to give it to them and all puppies have worms, so don't worry. But by bringing it to the vet you can get just the right medicine and your vet can check your puppy's health out from head to toe.
Good luck!

Was he wormed? If not, get it done.
Dogs sometimes get into things without us even knowing it. Wrappers, pieces of food from hiding places on the kitchen floor, etc. If you think he's acting out-of-the-ordinary, it would be best to call a vet and ask. If they think you should bring him in, they'll tell you.

Take your puppy to the vet, and bring a stool sample. It could be that he just has worms. 95% of puppies are born with hookworms or round worms. Or he could have something as serious as parvo. Get into the vet as soon as you can.

I am a vet but I need to see it so figure it out- I don't know for sure what you are saying but I know that you need to go to the Vet and see what is the matter- you should do this A.S.A.P. Your Maltese may have a very bad sickness. You need to help her/him

it could be a million things. has he been wormed recently? is he up to date with vaccinations? if so it shouldnt be anything major to worry about. keep an eye on him and have a vet check him to be certain. if youve just wormed him then it can affect him and give him the poops.
