Depending on the Time of Treatment, how much work you need to have done to straighten your teeth, and how long you will need to be in braces/retainers (and the types of braces/retainers) -- I can tell you this from personal experience:

Mild Cases -- approx $3,000

More time in braces, more work, different types: Upwards of $5,000

NONE of these costs include the cost of the regular visits to your normal dentist for your cleanings and regular treatment.

Call several orthodontists. The cost will vary widely depending on the braces required, the type you get, and the amount of correction that needs to be done. Many places now have payment plans. You really don't give enough information for anyone to give you a realistic answer.

First, it depends on the type of treatment you need. Most places should offer a free consultation. Braces can range anywhere from $2000-5000. Good Luck!

Full orthodontic treatment costs will vary by severity and region of the country. In the Midwest, most orthodontics runs in the range of $3500-$4500. That includes everything from start to finish, including retainers and all office visits.
