I have Dish Network, it is great! It has good customer service, and it stays up most Storms. Its movies are pretty old though, as for pay per view, but if you are just looing for good channels, Dish is good.

I have had Dish for several years now, and I love it. I had comcast for even longer before and I hated it. Uneven volume level on different channels, almost always at least one channel out every day. I hate those "ditch the dish" commercials. Weather hardly ever effects my dish. And only if it is a real bad storm. You know how long real bad storms last. they usually pass over quickly. I love my dish DVR. I can't live without it. The program guide is the best and setting the timers is a piece of cake!! S*@#w comcast and go for the dish. There customer service is very good. Plus they are the only hd provoder that broadcasts in true HD. DT broadcasts in a lower quality hd called psuedo HD.

I have Dish Network for 2 years now and i can honestly say it has been a good company to deal with. The picture quality is great. The weather of course does effect it at times but nothing great to be aggravated by. Of course snow and clouds can affect. And any trees that shadow it. Best to have an open place for it. If it goes off it does not take that long for it to return back on. They have been a good company to deal with esp. when we had questions, someone is always ready to answer us.

Dish HD is great especially when complimented with a HD monitor. I live in Western Washington State, the rain and wind storms don't effect it all, however, power outages do. Your only real decision will be which Dish HD receiver you choose to use.

Can only agree with most of my previous fellas. The picture quality is awesome and no significant interruptions until now except when having some very heavy storms which was not very often in my case.

You might take a look at http://www.dishnetworkbargains.net - they currently run some promos. They indeed have a dedicated customer service and answer all your questions diligently. You might call them and ask specifically for reception conditions in your area if you are unsure.

Best wishes
Mike
