me and my girl have been going out for almost 5 months now but i been knowing her for 6 years. the relationship is good and everything but i have the tendency to say stupid **** to my gf and always say **** before i think. when im mad i usually say things that i dont mean. we have a long distance relationship and she doesnt trust me saying that im a guy and she considers all guys cheaters, i told her to deal with it, its not my problem. also i ended up yelling at her for the whole situation. i really hurt her feelings and upset her, she doesnt know if we should still be together because of the way i act, but i dont want to lose her. i really love this girl. she said that ill never change and ill always be like this, but i want to change, is there anyway i could control my temper and for me to think before i speak. any help is appreciated.

Firstly, us guys are called 'breeders' and we are genetically constructed to get mad at stupidity. The natural urge to choke your g/f is a natural reaction often brought about by inane topics of conversation over seemingly trivial events.

I took an Anger Management class one time, but I ended up killing the instructor. Anyhow, you can take five seconds and clear your head- give yourself a moment of pause and don't answer at first, think it through and then answer. You might be accused of being incisive, but that is the best us breeders can hope for when dealing with a wily and dangerious foe called -woman.

Enjoy.

You should have some flowers shipped to her and tell her how much she means to you. You might have just been having a bad day and didn't actually mean to take it out on her but you did. Tell her that she means the world to her and you don't know what you would do without her. Beg her for another chance and next conversation you have just take a breather and don't say anything until your sure it won't come out offensive.

every day you need to literally think to yourself that today i am going to think before i speak. when you think you might talk to her or anyone for that matter think to yourself that you are going to be cautious with your words. its not really that hard, i don't think you really tried before.
