the answer put simply is Himself, God is spirit and was not created but always was, we cannot fathom this with our finite minds, even Angels can not fathom God in his mysterious essence but He wills to give them greater insight about Himself to them than we can have.
from a human point of view we can say that what makes God,God is that He and He alone is the Author of love.

I refer to God as a higher power (that power may indeed be within ourselves)...I use God to help me understand the unexplainable. There are gaps in religion & science, there's something up with that.
