When my acne was not too serious, I tried a Benzoyl peroxide face wash twice a day after washing my face. That seemed to do the trick. However, if you say that she has tried everything, she has probably tried that as well.

I currently have an acne problem myself so I went to see a general physician and she prescribed me minocin (antibiotic) and benzaclin (topical). They are doing a very good job in combination and have really helped.

I would suggest going to see a doctor if nothing over-the-counter is helping her. If the acne is not bad, she could just wait it out (how old is she?) because it will go away soon once those hormones are not going out of whack.

Also, she should drink plenty of fluids, avoid fatty/oily foods, and not touch her face a lot due to the oil on her skin.

Good luck

Like her, I tried everything. I tried all the over the counter, mail order, and prescription medications that I could find. After giving up on all of that I found something that actually worked. This is going to sound crazy but what worked for me was raw honey. You take some raw honey (which you can find at just about any grocery store) and apply it to all the blemishes. Then you apply a bandage over the honey. You do this at night and sleep with it that way. When you wake up in the morning you will notice a big difference. Just keep repeating the process until the face is completely cleared up. It works great!! After that just be sure to keep honey on any new blemishes as they start to appear. The quicker you catch them the easier it is to get rid of them. Good luck!! I hope this works as well for you as it did for me.

I have a bout of acne at the start of each summer. The best way I have found to quickly treat this is with toothpaste (Let dry on face and wash off with hot water and wash cloth) and facial moiturizer. The toothpaste dries the area quickly and safely. The moiturizer keeps the face from over-drying, causing more problems, and does not cause further oiliness.

Drink lots of water and wash face with Noxzema, 2 to 3 times daily. She can also take Proactiv.

Your friend should try Proactive Solutions. If she can't afford it, she should use a name brand facial cleanser like Clearasil or Neutrogena. Then apply Clearasil Ultra after cleansing. It dries out pimples.

Unless she has pustular acne, she should exfoliate a lot. A lot of times acne is caused by excess skin clogging pores.

It depends on Age and family History!?
Nothing can replace 'TIME' and a 'Healthy Diet',but Pre-destination has a lot to do with it!
