it's not something i have, it's for a case study im doing.
the patient had a disease that has something to do with if im not mistaken, adrenal glands? it starts with A.
the signs and symptoms that you would see is that the person's legs appeared darker and described as "elephant-like" although it's not enlarged or it's not edema, but the skin texture is dry and fine wrinkles are visible, the shins are really dry, you actually see chunks of skin on top of it, and the area is also very sensitive.

anybody familiar with this condition?

I think you're asking about Addison's disease.
One of the symptoms is a darkening of the skin. Other symptoms are fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, weight loss, irritability and depression.

I think it may be pretibial myxedema of Graves disease of the thyroid gland:
