Instead of taking the elevator or esculator, use the stairs. Try to be in motion as much as you can. Stay away from foods that can slow you down. Drink plenty of water.

I like to take my dogs for a walk and before having dogs to walk I got a camera and started walking in the park and along beaches anywhere it was nice. If you are not stuck indoors, you can do a number of things to be active, learn to skate or skateboard, if you drive somewhere park a distance away from where you are going and make a committment to get and use a pedometer as that helps to keep you accountable.
I like to join different walking clubs and volunteer to walk for different causes like heart disease, breast cancer, alzheimers disease, and generally get out and about in the community, speaking of volunteering, you might think about volunteering at a local nature center or park, even a museum which all need volunteers to be guides or recreation assistants. If you are so moved, you can volunteer to visit a nursing home and ask which patients are able to have visitors take them out for walks and/or generally run errands for the elderly. If you are good with kids, go to the YMCA or the Park Dept. and help with the games like basketball, soccer, etc. There are so many ways and reasons to be active and give back in the world that we sometimes forget that the world depends upon the love and compassion of others giving of themselves. Give of yourself freely~ Your rewards will be great!
Do something good for someone else and you won't even remember you ever wanted to find a way to stay active!
Good Luck & Be Well

park as far as you can from where you are going so you have to walk a long way
schedule time daily to exercise and keep to it
try to get a friend to work out with you to motivate you when you don't feel like working out
buy workout items for your home so that if the weather is bad or you are sick you can still work out (5 pound dumbells, workout ball, yoga mat, jump rope, workout videos)
vary your workouts so you don't get bored (if you're always doing weights at the gym, try a yoga class, a tennis lesson, water aerobics, lap swimming, a one mile run, etc to switch things up a bit)
