I got back from Port au Prince just over a week ago. I was just going to spend a day there but had so much fun that I ended up spending eight days there. I am planing to go back to Haiti in a couple of months, So if people know of good places to visit please let me know.

A wonderful fortress built by Christophe
Jacmel
South of Port-au-Prince, the southern peninsula comprises many beautiful cities. One of them, Jacmel is a quiet city but full of charm. Its population is estimated at 15,000.

If you go to the north Coast, Cape Haitien - Sans Soucci. Also check out Fort Liberte, really nice bay! Be careful but have fun, most people are very nice and helpful, much more genuine than the Domnicans on the other side of the island - but also not for the faint of heart.
