Nice hypothetical, but the world will never be without religion. It would be better off with the elimination of some religions than others.

It is hard to tell. Religion has been a civilizing influence as well as a destructive one. Would civilization be at the level it is now without religion? I doubt it.

Religions are inherently conservative. So, as the world seems to change more quickly than it has in the past with ubiquitous, instant communication methods, religion is not able to adapt quickly enough.

No it would be much worst. People would have nothing to believe in, feel as though there is no control over what's happening, no faith. Religion gives us morals, teaches us right from wrong. heaven and hell, etc etc. the world would be a disaster without religion.

Yes, definitely. I think that people who claim that their religion keeps them good human beings would be good human beings without their religion as well. And bastards will be bastards, either with or without religion but a lot of wars would not have been fought or justified if it hadn't been for religion.

Without religion, yes. Without God, no. There is a difference. Religion says, you must do say and be this to be accepted in our church. God does not have those requirements. His requirements are much simpler, like love thy neighbor, religion hates that one.

No. I think religion is a mostly good thing for everybody. What the world could do without is the extremists who want to impose their own beliefs on everyone else.
