It is actually not advisable to run your NiMH cells dry as polarity reversal may occur. Cells are never absolutely identical, and inevitably one will be completely discharged before the others. When this happens, the "good" cells will start to "drive" the discharged cell in reverse, which can cause permanent damage to that cell. And unlike NiCD cells, they are fairly resistant to random recharging. All batteries loose a certain amount of recharge over time and use. NiMH cells worst enemy is heat. Always refer to the product manual for best advise on battery maintenance and usage.

Ni-Mh batteries DO NOT HAVE MEMORY EFFECT!
Therefore you can charge them Full or Empty without ANY detrimental effects!!

I charge mine whenever I feel like it, whether they are dead or not.
