Who Would You Consider to be an Environmental Hero?

Who would you consider to be a fighter for the environment? Im writing a paper about the movie An Inconvenient Truth. Al Gore seems to have spent a long time working for environmental causes (global warming, spotted owls). Who else would you consider to be an important figure in environmental issues?

I would applaud the massive scientific community which has almost unanimously heralded Gore's movie as a truthful and accurate depiction of the problems we're about to face as a result of global warming. Obviously these learned people know the tragic series of events that will occur over the next few decades, and choose to be among those who warn a federal government that completely ignores their warnings. -RKO-

Clearly Al Gore.

Not only does Al have the capacity to deduce things completely unknown to science (global warming), he also travels around the world in private jets and SUV caravans, telling the rest of us what to do. What a hero!

Of course Al Gore! He is the only one who has the balls to fly around the world in a private jet to preach about Global Warming. Did you know that most of his money is in oil? How's that for an environmentalist who practices what he preaches.

i do not think anyone is right 100% not even mr. al gore. nature can take us all in a heartbeat if it so decides to do so!

i think no human being can be environment hero,, as we eat fruits vegetables and kill animals,, we are very selfish as we use animals skins for our shoes ,, eating there meats, so how can we be heros??
