There are many factors to consider before you can expect an answer to your question.
1. If your eating intake of calories remains the same then yes you will lose weight, but what is your weight to start with?
2. If you are moderately overweight and your food intake is the same then with that amount of running and your metabolism is normal you should drop 2 to 4 lbs a week. That is about as much as you want to drop in that time frame.
3. More importantly than all the running is proper diet and the weight will take care of itself.
4. The exercise is good for the cardiovascular as well as health conditioning.
5. Key is, sticking to your plan, don't go at it too aggressively and then fall away. Be patient, take small steps and it will happen and it will be more effective than crash training.....good luck

For every 3500 calories you burn you will lose a pound. So if you burn at least 700 calories on the elliptical 5x a week that's one pound. You can also eat less too and the same principle applies. If you eat 500 calories less a day for 7 days then that's one pound lost too. Or you can do a little of both. Eat less and exercise. THat is the right way to lose weigth safely and effectively.

It depends on your calorie intake. 3000 calories is roughly 1lb so for every 3000 calories that you burn beyond what your body needs for energy will equate to 1 lb of loss.
