I think this guy likes me, but its not very obvious, but I can kind of tell. Because:
1) He tried to dance with me at the dance
2) He tries to talk to me often
3) He sometimes stares at me and smiles....
Guys: Does he like me? Do you do this kinda stuff when you like a girl?

Yes, he most definitely likes you. But he's probably just as insecure as you are, so if you like him back, just make it obvious so he doesn't have to sit and wonder.

These are obvious things. Women do the same things when they like you as they do when they don't, but men are pretty clear cut.
