How Can I Tell If He Really Means "I Love You"?

I have a boyfriend and I've never really told a guy, "I Love You" well, I'm his seventh girlfriend. He says that seven's that best number and that he wants us to last a long time. He Tells me that he loves me alot, and I Do Love Him. My question is this, I seen that he told one of his ex-girlfriends one of the same things he tells me. And in the same way. I Love You More and always says that he does. I want to know that he does, and everytime I tell him that I hope he means it he says he does. But How Can I Know? I feel so unsure, and naive if he's using me. Help me.

if you can't tell-
have a friend that he doesn't know (have it be a girl friend) and have him randomly walk up to him and start flirting with him

if he finds out what you did, you're screwed

You answered your own question in your last sentence: I feel so unsure, and naive if he's using me. If he tells you he loves you a lot and then tells someone else the same thing in the same way, you're being played. Guys are usually really slow to say I love you - even if they've loved someone for a long time. It's a HUGE thing for them to say it when they mean it. Then there are the guys who say it to almost everyone and it has no meaning behind it other than "well, this will get me somewhere!" I will admit that he's pretty clever and rather charming with his answer about you're being lucky number 7, but his mind is already thinking about lucky number 8 and 12 and 56! He says "I love you" like we would say, "The sky is blue." The fact that you feel "iffy" inside when he tells you he loves you is the greatest way to know if he's being truthful. Trust your instincts. Guys like this are magnetically attracted to naive women, so consider this a lesson learned, and realize that you're not as naive as you were previously. You may not believe it right now, but you will find the guy who, when he says, I love you, will mean it with every inch of his being.

Well if your feeling that unsure about him then there is some doubt there about truly loving him. Because if you really did love him, you wouldn't give a second thought to his ex's. After all girlfriend the best is worth waiting for no matter how many he has had in the past. But if your tripping out on details of his previous relationships then maybe, you should ask yourself if you have some insecurities about your relationship with him. So if you love him, then just love him. Don't worry about all that other drama, let it go.

1.) They call you
2.) They do those "little things" even as small as saving you a seat at a crowded event, letting you have the last slice of pizza etc.
3.) They look for you first in a crowd
4.) They let you know about different things that make them think of you, like a song on the radio etc.
5.) They make an effort to get "in" with your family/friends
6.) They make plans involving you
7.) Other girls just don't interest him (he might look and appreciate, but you don't get the overwhelming sense that he's trully wandering)
8.) They are curious about you
9.) They might show little signs of jealousy (asking you about one of your guy friends...)
10.) They do other little things to communicate w/you like texting, emailing, notes etc...even if they are just silly messages

If he's saying "I love you" he maybe only thinking of how far he can go with you. He probably found out through his previous relationships that girls like to be told that and usually they will let him have a little. I would not let him put his hands on you. Find out if he really loves you.

a guys insight love seems to be used to often for the sole fact that men cant seem to find any other word that descibes how they feel so the Q. shouldnt be if he loves you it should be does he love you unconditionly see if he goes out of his way to make you happy then that should be anough for now but like most things love is a word and it all in how you interpite it as.

First you have to know what is love. love is unconditional. Love is no matter what you do i will love you. I know it sounds hard but that is what it is. That does not mean that if someone do you wrong, that you will stay and take it. It means that you will not hate them. forgive them so you can move on.

In saying that, action speaks louder that words. If he shows you that he loves you then its probably true. You have to know what love means to you to know if he is showing it.
